SMH Announces Call for Papers for the SCWH 2022

In the latest SMH Newsletter, the organization announced its call for papers for the June 2022 Society of Civil War Historians (SCWH) Conference. The SCWH is seeking entries that integrate the societal, political, military, and cultural history of the Civil War with the era of slavery, the western expansion, and the end of Reconstruction. The conference is a hub where academics historians, scholars, graduate students, and professionals involved with historical preservation will convene.

The 2022 conference will also include panels and roundtables from the canceled 2020 event. The deadline to submit or upload proposals is September 20, 2021. Proposals should include a title and abstract of between 250-300 words and a short curriculum vitae from participants. Panel submissions should come with a title and statement about the main idea of the session.
